My 2nd Stitch Fix package has arrived!
My 1st Stitch Fix box was definitely a success so I decided to order again. I wanted to time it so that it came before I go on vacation. I’m going to the Dominican Republic in a couple of weeks so I specifically asked for a dress and a cute pair of sandals for my trip. I was super excited yesterday when my package arrived. Here is what was in it:
41 Hawthorn Tammi Printed Dress – $68
I ADORE this dress. Clearly my stylist, Ally, understands my love for all things nautical because I fell in love with this sailboat print as soon as I saw it in the package. I also really like the cut of the dress, its different from any of the other sundresses I own. The peek-a-boo neckline adds a little something and the tie around the waist is slimming. It will be perfect for my vacation. I`m definitely keeping it!
Papermoon Kalli Crotchet Trim Knit Top – $44
The color is so gorgeous and I really like the crotchet details. Ally said this would go nice with the Mavi jeans from my last fix and she was so right! I wore the two together yesterday at the Shirlington Beer Festival. My boyfriend even commented that I looked cute so you know that’s a win 🙂 The Kalli top is also coming along with me on vacation. Keeping it!
Lila Ryan Liara Straight Leg Jean – $98
I asked specifically for white jeans because I have a lot of tops that will go well with them now that summer is coming. Unfortunately these are too long, my stylist suggested that I get them hemmed. I also tried rolling them up which worked ok but I think I am better off returning them for a pair that are the right length. Return!
Bowie Solid Dolman Sleeve Top – $58
The color is pretty and the fit is super flattering but I used to have a shirt that was really similar to this and I rarely ever wore it. The color pairs well with light washes but since I’m not keeping the white jeans and most of my work pants are black, I am going to return it. I may have considered keeping it if it was a little cheaper but for $60 I would rather return it and get something I really love. Return!
Franco Sarto Grip Thong Sandal – $69
I asked for sandals now that Stitch Fix has shoes available but these were just not my taste at all. I normally get sandals from Target or Payless where they are more affordable and just as cute IMHO. If I’m paying $69 for a pair of shoes, then I better be in love with them and I just wasn’t so…return.
That completes my Stitch Fix #2 review! Some sound advice for my fab fashionistas: If you have something particular in mind, pick it out yourself. I thought the dress and the top were great but the white jeans and sandals, both things that I specifically asked for, fell short of my expectations and I realize now its because I had something specific in my head.
So my fab fashionistas, what is your favorite item from my Fix #2?
